The book "I'm the Boss of My Hearing Loss" is by far the best book written for children with a hearing loss. I've purchase several other books that I found at Amazon.com and HearingExchange.com, but none
captured my sons attention and stressed everyday self-advocacy like your
book did. Spencer (5 yrs. old, 70dB loss) loves your book and asks me to
read it all of the time! All audiologists should dispense this book to their younger patients as it teaches some very important lessons without being boring. We love it!!!

Hi Amy,
I am an Outreach Consultant in the state of Maine. I work for Governor Baxter School for the Deaf, providing free services to public schools all over the state who have Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in their schools. We go in and observe students during the school day and make recommendations to the schools about how to make the environment more
auditorally accessible which often includes recommending hearing aids and
FM systems. As our students get older, we encourage them to take more
responsibility in caring for the equipment and for communication in
general.
We have found your book and love it! We are getting a copy for our office and many of the staff at GBSD are buying copies for their personal use. Thanks for writing such a fun, well-illustrated, and educational book to help empower our deaf students!

Dear Amy,
I wanted to get back with you to let you know that your book could not have been published at a better time! We have been receiving requests from parent's about name's of books they could read to their child's class about hearing loss and hearing aids. We were in the process of looking for a good book to include in our new fitting bag of goodies we
give to each child who is fit with hearing aids at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Your book is perfect! The illustrations are comical. Our parents and kiddos really get excited and look forward to reading it. It was fun to meet you in person at WSHA and I know we will be in touch soon when I have to re-order more books. I anticipated we will run out of the
very quickly. We appreciate the volume discounts. Thank you for helping
us serve our families needs.
We could also use a book for children with cochlear implants. Any chance you want to write a second book? Take care!
Sincerely,
- Jane M. Sebzda, Au.D., CCC/A
